Die Hard Arcade

Die Hard Arcade is a beat ' em up game from the year 1996, in Japan under the name Dynamite Deka - was published (ダイナマイト 刑事, decadent slang for a policeman in civilian clothes). In North America, Europe and Australia, the game was released under the Die Hard American licensed title. The game first appeared as an arcade game and was later released on the Sega Saturn and the PlayStation 2.

The hero Bruno Delinger ( Name only available in the Japanese version ) to know similarities to John McClane from the movies, but the game does not have much to do with the movies. The reason is that this game was already developed when it was released in North America, Europe and Australia. The game is playable for two players, the second player assumes the role of a woman.

Plot and gameplay

The player assumes the role of Bruno Delinger who is called to a special mission. A ruthless gangster has invaded a skyscraper with his band and brought thirty hostages into his hands. Among the hostages is also the daughter of the president, who has been hiding for fear of the gangsters in a desk and will notice how the gangster can look for her.

Meanwhile, trying to fight Bruno Delinger by the high-rise and confronts the Schargen the gangster. During the game, so-called quick-time events where Bruno Delinger must respond to the actions of gangsters happen. In cutscenes, the story is retold. The daughter of the president tries to anybody contact you and divulges that it is in the President's office. She is caught by the gangsters and Bruno Delinger rushes to her aid and raises him to a fight.

The last fight of the game is a tribute to the game Double Dragon. In the Saturn version of a game version of the arcade game Deep Scan from Japan is also included 1979, which the player makes it possible to gain more life.

The game was created by Sega AM1. In America the game from the Sega Technical Institute was further developed, the studio was disbanded shortly thereafter.

In Japan, appeared under the title Dynamite Deka 2 is a sequel that was released for the Sega Dreamcast. Internationally, the game under the title Dynamite Cop was marketed.
