The mannequin is an alternative rock band from Toronto, Canada.

Band History

The band was founded by Care Failure (real name Caroline Kawa ), after her parents had set with sixteen years ago the door. 2006 saw their first EP " How to Kill ", they still grossed alone. In the production helped her Jesse F. Keeler and Al -P of MSTRKRFT. Still in the same year, drummer Pat M and bassist Ethan Deth of The Big Dirty band to band. The latter is a short time later replaced by Anthony Bleed by Kill Cheerleader. It was followed by the first tour opening for Guns N ' Roses. In summer 2006, the band signed a recording contract with EMI indeed, but shortly afterwards founded under the umbrella of Warner Music Canada 's own record label, How To Kill Music.

In 2007, the band released the EP "Slaughter Daughter", were produced on the two pieces of Ian D' Sa of Billy Talent and two of Junior Sanchez. In addition to previous releases of the band found themselves on the 2008 compilation " Unicorn Steak" also includes a cover version of " Hand in Hand" by Beatsteaks. In September 2009, The Mannequins appeared first album called " Fino & Bleed". Then the band went in the opening act of Marilyn Manson on Canada tour.
