Die Säule

The column is an cabaret theater in Duisburg.

It was founded in 1995. The name comes from two gold -colored columns that are located in front of the stage of 99 visitors comprehensive theater space. The theater has its own ensemble. In addition to plays and cabaret performances literary readings are held.

The play The Open Couple by Dario Fo and Franca Rame was specially produced for the cabaret theater. The German playwright Tancred Dorst has premiered his acting Kupsch itself in collaboration with the actor Wolfgang Hinze in the column.
