In this regard, the MEP has developed a long-term strategy paper that the EU Commission, the European Parliament, Member States and regions serves as a guide for the development of strategies to improve road safety. To him we owe, among other things, the mandatory equipment of trucks and buses with driver assistance systems, such as the spacer cruise control, an emergency braking system and a lane departure warning, the main components for the prevention of severe truck accidents.

A technology that encourages cooking especially eCall, the life -saving electronic emergency call. This system automatically sends an emergency call to the control center immediately after a serious accident involving a vehicle. Thus, the reaction times are shortened considerably until the arrival of professional medical assistance. This saves thousands of lives every year! The eCall system here represents a sleeping system (data protection) is, but that is to be installed mandatory in every car just in case of a serious accident 'wake up' once only submits a minimum data set for localization. Will take on additional services from private providers to complete the customer, so he determined explicitly by contract, who has access to its data.
