Dieter Neuendorf

Dieter Neuendorf (* July 7, 1940 in Ruhla ) is a former German ski jumper who competed for the German Democratic Republic.

Career

Neuendorf launched both at the Olympic Winter Games 1964 Innsbruck and 1968 Grenoble on the normal and large hill. In the special jumping he finished fifth and seventh, on the large hill, he finished eight and fifteen square. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 1966, he was with jumps of 79.5 and 77.5 meters runner-up on the normal hill. From the large hill he landed after jumps on 75 and 81 meters only ranked 18th He also won three individual competition at the Four Hills Tournament and finished 1965/66 the second and in the next two years each third overall. 1965 Johann George Town he was East German champion on the normal hill in front of Peter Lesser and on the large hill in front of Dieter Scharf and Alfred Brettschneider. The double success was repeated in 1966. GDR His last championship he won in 1967 on the normal hill.

In 1971, he ended his career and became a coach. For this work he was awarded in 1976 the Order of Banner of Labor.
