Diethylaminoethylcellulose

Diethylaminoethyl ( DEAE -C short, CAS Number: 9013-34-7, polymer composition ( C12H24O5N ) n) is a commonly used weakly basic anion exchanger. The white, combustible powder is prepared from cellulose by replacement of the hydrogen atom of a hydroxyl group by the diethylaminoethyl group. Technically DEAE -C is used for chromatographic separation and purification of high molecular weight proteins.
