Dietrich Möller

Dietrich Möller ( born November 3, 1937 in Dortmund ) is a German politician of the CDU.

Biography

Möller initially trained as an agriculturalist. His first political office he took over the council of the district of Marburg, where he belonged from 1972 to 1994 (from 1974: council of the district of Marburg -Biedenkopf ). From 1978 to 1993 he served as deputy of CDU Member of the Hesse Landtag. There he served as the agricultural policy spokesman of the CDU faction and was in the meantime the Deputy Chairman.

On 30 June 1993 he resigned to take over as successor to the retiring due to illness, Dr. Hanno Drechsler, the Office of the Mayor of Marburg. Möller was twelve years mayor.

Honors

When it was adopted in retirement, he was named for his services to the city an honorary citizen. August 14, 2006 Möller was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class.

Dietrich Moeller is president of Landesjagdverband Hesse. Since 2005 Moeller is president of the football club VfB Marburg.
