Digital model railway control systems

Rocrail is a free software to control digital model railroads. The trains can be controlled manually, automatically or in a mixed mode. Thus, the control of a shadow station, commuter trains or even creating entire schedules are block operation possible. The program is based on a client- server architecture. It is translated into several languages ​​and runs on Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. The first version 0.4 was released on 30 June 2005. Since 2008 Rocrail is a registered trademark in Germany.

Architecture

Rocrail consists of a server that provides the connection to the model railway and a client program on the operation takes place. Communication between the two is via the Internet protocol so multiple clients can run on different machines. The platform independence is achieved through the use of wxWidgets.

Clients

Supported centers
