Dihydroxybenzoic acid

The dihydroxybenzoic acids form a group of substances of aromatic compounds derived from both the benzoic acid as well as of the diphenols in chemistry. The structure consists of a benzene ring with an attached carboxy (-COOH) and two hydroxy groups (-OH) as a substituent. Due to their different arrangement of six constitutional isomers arise with the molecular formula C7H6O4.
