Dilys Award

The Dilys Award is in the English-speaking world a literary prize for crime fiction and is awarded annually since 1992 by the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association (IMBA ). The IMBA is an association of booksellers from North America, Canada and the UK, which publishes a monthly basis for their readers a list of best crime novels. Namesake of the prize was Dilys Winn, founder of Murder Inc., the first Crime bookstore in the U.S., which was until December 2006 led by Dilys Winn and then closed.

The prize is awarded only one category for the most recommended title of last year. It is a tracing of Greg Anthony sculpture depicting a skull.
