Geography
Dimbach located in Wasgau, south of Lug. 74.2 % of the district area is forested.
History
Origin
The first mention was made in 1274 as Dynnebach and was counted as property to the castle Lindelbrunn. This castle was owned by the Counts of Leiningen.
Several men
The above-mentioned counts of Leiningen had repeatedly increased demand for money and leased the Lindelbrunn castle and its estate. So it happened quite often that the inhabitants of Dimbach had two masters. The Counts of Leiningen and the or each tenant of the castle. At times, the inhabitants therefore had to both gentlemen taxes, tithes payable.
