The HK Dynamo-Energy Yekaterinburg (Russian ХК Динамо - Энергия Екатеринбург ) is a former Russian ice hockey club from Yekaterinburg.

History

Dynamo-Energy Yekaterinburg was founded in 1950 as Spartak Sverdlovsk and played until its dissolution in 2007 in the highest Soviet and Russian leagues. In the years 1955, 1967, 1972, 1974, 1977, 1984, 1986 and 1999 the team under different names eight times the champion of the second division won. The final ascent to the Super League succeeded after the championship win in 1999, when the club was able to establish two seasons in the elite class.

As an unofficial follow-up team of Dynamo-Energy was founded in 2006 is considered the city rivals Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg.
