Dion Waiters

Dion Waiters (born 1 December 1991 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States) is an American professional NBA basketball player. He plays the position of shooting guards. The 100- kg Guard is compared due to its way of playing with Dwyane Wade.

College

Waiters played two years for the Syracuse University. In his freshman year, he scored 6.6 points, 1.5 assists, and 1.6 rebounds per game. The following year he rose to 12.6 points, 2.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds. The remarkable thing was that he was not on any single game in the starting lineup.

NBA

Waiters was selected when NBA Draft 2012 ranked fourth by the Cleveland Cavaliers. During his first season Waiters scored 14.7 points per game. As a reward, he was appointed to the NBA All- Rookie First Team. He also took in Rahme NBA All-Star Weekend at the Rising Star Challenge in part and scored 23 points.
