Dionne Bromfield

Dionne Bromfield ( born 1 February 1996, London) is a British soul singer.

Biography

Dionne Bromfield had private singing lessons at age ten. A year later she sang to her godmother, the soul singer Amy Winehouse. This took the eleven year olds on in her then newly founded label Lioness and established contact with the producer Jon Moon forth. Accompanied by Winehouse's tour musicians took Bromfield at the age of twelve years, an album of cover versions of popular black music hits from the 1960s and early 1970s on.

In October 2009, she appeared with her version of Mama Said, a hit of the group The Shirelles, dating from 1961, including in the show Strictly Come Dancing with Amy Winehouse on stage as accompaniment. The song rose to coincide with the debut album Introducing Dionne Bromfield in the British charts.
