Dirk Else
Dirk Else ( born August 27, 1977 in Erlabrunn ) is a former German ski jumper.
Else won the ski jumping Continental Cup in the 1999/2000 season. On 1 January 2000, he was in Garmisch -Partenkirchen his debut in the World Cup Ski Jumping. He jumped to 39th place. On 4 January 2002, he won the 19th place in Innsbruck his first World Cup points. In the following jumping he got points and ended the season 2001/ 02 on the 50th place in the overall World Cup standings. The following season he started only at a few World Cup competitions. Having, however, the Continental had no greater success, he finished in 2003 his active ski jumping career.
The personal best by Dirk Else lies at 205 meters, achieved in a training jump of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup on 17 March 2000 on the ski flying hill in Planica (Slovenia).
