Dirk I van Brederode

Dirk van Teylingen, heer van Brederode (lat: They Theodericus de Lingen ) (* 1180, † 1236 ) was a Dutch knight, and Dapifer of the Count of Holland. The family of the lords van Teylingen entstammend he appeared as Dirk van Brederode I. on as a regular Lord of Lords of Brederode.

Vita

The son of Willem van Teylingen were two different mothers, Maria van Castricum and Agnes van Bentheim ( of the dynasty of Gerulfinger ) awarded. Dirk van Brederode Teylingen - is regarded as the founder of the house of Brederode. He inherited from his father the base area and the castle Brederode; thus it can not be considered a first (basic ) lord of Brederode if possible.

In 1226 Dirk van Brederode - Teylingen was ordered as Landdrost the Dutch Counts at whose court. He served the Count Floris V. and William of Holland. In the absence of taking take Counts was Teylingen van Brederode, whose first representative.

Dirk married in 1215 with Aleid ( Alveradis ) van Heusden; from this marriage sprang at least six children:

  • Dirk van Brederode 1228 - ± 1279, was struck in 1255 knighted
  • Floris van Brederode 1230 → 1306 Lord of Doortoge
  • Aleidis van Brederode 1232 - ± 1262

  • Agnies van Brederode ± 1245 - ± 1280

Dirk van Brederode Teylingen - is also considered a master of the noble family Mr. van der Duyn.
