Dirk Matschenz

Dirk Matschenz (* 30 May 1979 ) is a former German, temporarily also for the Netherlands and Norway -start, Skeleton driver and current coach.

Dirk Matschenz from BSR Rennsteig Oberhof began in 1997 with the sport and came to 2001 for the Bobsleigh and Luge Federation for Germany. 1999 First national and international successes came on. At the German Championships 1999, he won third prize, a year later he was runner-up and 2001 he won the German championship title. In the World Cup he made his debut in 1999 as Zwölftplatzierter in Igls. At the World Championships of the year in Altenberg he was tenth. After a dispute with the German Association Matschenz moved in 2002 to the Dutch Association.
