Visualization as an aid in discussions

A powerful tool of the discussion is to present the content pictorially ( visualize ). For an objective and orderly course of discussion, it is helpful to write down some points for discussion (keywords) for all visible or in symbols and visual language characters to illustrate ( eg flipchart, whiteboard, overhead transparency ).

The visualization acts as a memory aid, more objective discussion, increases awareness, promotes serenity even in controversial discussions, supports an optical development of a discussion thread, relieves the discussants mentally and reduces misunderstandings. An unconscious or a controlled manipulative intent jumping in the thread is visible by means of visualization and can be caught with appreciation and discussion promotes.

Starting a discussion

The purpose of a discussion is not necessarily to convince the opposite of his point of view. In contrast, at the end of a discussion, the solution of a problem, an acceptable compromise for all parties or the two-sided realization that different opinions prevail ( dissent ). In the latter case, the discussion is an important way to know the position of others and to see things from previously unknown perspective.
