Disney Interactive Studios

Disney Interactive Studios (initially Walt Disney Computer Software, later Disney Interactive, then Buena Vista Games Inc. and then Disney Interactive Studios Inc. ) is a distributor of video games and interactive entertainment software the Walt Disney Company.

History

Walt Disney Computer Software

In 1988, the Walt Disney Computer Software was founded as a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Consumer Products, a division of The Walt Disney Company. Out was the business of Sheley Miles, the former vice - president of the Walt Disney Music Company.

Disney Interactive

In 1996, the Walt Disney Computer Software was renamed to Disney Interactive. In the early years, the developers of Disney Interactive worked more as a publisher, establishing strategic developments cooperated game industry leaders such as Sony Computer Entertainment, Nintendo, Activision, Capcom, (most alliances), Konami and Ubi Soft with. Disney Interactive dealt among other things with mass marketing, global developments, publications and spreads of interactive entertainment software based on its intellectual property (including Disney characters and other fees freedoms ).

Buena Vista Games

In order to diversify its portfolio, the company established itself in 2003 as Buena Vista Games and is divided into two productions. Disney Interactive Studios Inc.

2007 Buena Vista Games renamed to Disney Interactive Studios. The studio released video games from Disney and were not of Disney. Since June 2008, Disney Interactive Media Group was founded, a spin -off of Disney Interactive.
