District 1, Düsseldorf
The City District 1 is one of ten districts of the North Rhine - Westphalian capital Dusseldorf. It comprises the districts of Old Town, Carlstadt, Their village, Golzheim PEMPELFORT and town center. The shape of districts to organize the city of Dusseldorf was introduced in 1975. The county seat is located in the Wilhelm -Marx -Haus.
Unlike other North Rhine-Westphalian cities such as Cologne or Duisburg the city districts have in Dusseldorf do not have proper names, but are merely indicated by a digit.
All neighborhoods are densely built, because this municipality is composed of the parts of the core city. These include the founding place historic center and the first urban expansion as the Carlstadt.
In the last local elections of 2009, the be -participative in the voting population of the municipality chose to 39.4%, CDU, SPD to 21.2% to 18.7 % GREEN to 11.9% FDP to 5.3% LEFT, to 2.5% of the FW and 1.1% REP.
