District 7 (Zürich)

The circle 7 is located in the east of the city district of the city of Zurich. It includes the 1893 eingemeindeten in the neighborhoods Fluntern, Hottingen and Hirslanden, and the 1934 is my finished Quartier Witikon.

History

The circle 7 1913 arose in the context of a revision of the cities. Precursor of the circle 7 was the city circle V, which was formed during the first annexation of 1893 and consisted of the formerly independent communities Fluntern, Hottingen, Hirslanden and Riesbachstrasse.

On the occasion of the revision of the cities of 1913 the city circle divided into three parts III and V of the county were divided into two and re-numbered the developed thereby circles. The group V was doing renumbered to circle 7 while Riesbachstrasse was reallocated to a separate, newly created circuit 8 and divided by the Statistical Office of the City of Zurich on the drawing board in three quarters.

The second incorporation of 1934 led to the creation of new circuits 9 to 11, as well as for reducing the circuit 6 and to an enlargement of the circle 7 The latter has been extended in this context to the formerly independent municipality Witikon.
