District Council of Streaky Bay

Streaky Bay is located on the western end of the Eyre Peninsula, about 470 km as the crow northwest of the city of Adelaide. The area includes 24 villages and towns: Baird Bay, Calca, Capietha, Chandada, Courela, Cungena, EBA Anchorage, Emerald Rise, Fishermans Paradise, Haslam, Inkster, Karcultaby, Mount Cooper, Perlubie, Pelubie Landing, Piednippie, Poochera, Sceale Bay, Smooth Pool, Streaky Bay, Wirrulla, Witera, Yanerby and Yantanabie. The administrative headquarters of the council is located in the coastal town of Streaky Bay in the west of the LGA.

Management

The Council of Streaky Bay has eight members who are elected by the residents of the two wards ( four each from the Eyre and the Flinders Ward). These two districts are set independently of the villages. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.
