División de Honor de Rugby

The División de Honor de Rugby is the highest Spanish rugby union league for club teams, and is subject to Spanish rugby federation Federación Española de Rugby. Although the league was founded in 1952, but 1955-1969 no competition was held. In 1979, the championship was split into four groups, the final contest between the group winners, however, was canceled, so it's officially been four winners this season.

Currently, the league of twelve teams that play the master in a round-trip round. A win there are four points, two points for a draw. If a game is lost by seven points or less difference or scored a team of at least four experiments, there is a bonus point. The last two will be relegated to the two-tier División de Honor B. The Spanish champions will be invited occasionally in the European Challenge Cup, but has no fixed place.
