The Girl on the Broomstick ( Alternative title: Saxana, the Witch ) by director Václav Vorlíček is a Czech fairy tale film from the year 1972.

Action

The youthful witch Saxana goes on a witch school. However, it is not a particularly diligent student. In a class of work Saxana makes her arm quite long, and it may take a cheat sheet from a nearby table. In a class in which all can witches, is something not unusual. Unfortunately, even the witches teacher knows all the tricks, and so Saxana is caught. You will now recite some magic to the whole class. Since she has learned little, fail their transformations.

Saxana is brought to the director. As punishment for their poor performance and fraud in the class work, they should be kept in 300 years. In Saxana is not pleased. The caretaker comforter: 300 years are not so long. In humans, but these were nine generations.

Saxana is curious about the people. She asks the caretaker seemingly casually, how could it come to the people. Carefree is the caretaker Saxana the magic lexicon, in which the spell is required. As an owl turns, Saxana enters a zoo in the human world, where it is shown to the zoo director who takes the owl with in his apartment. Especially nor can it take the potion, and Saxana becomes a man. Even the janitor who has fallen in love with his colleague, takes a sip, and remains in the human world.

The loss of the magical powers associated with a moment of terror and for Saxana with a painful experience for everyone involved (including the viewer ).
