DJ Drama

DJ Drama ( born April 22, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; actually Tyree Cinque Simmons ) is an American producer and the official DJ of the label Grand Hustle. He is known for his Gangsta Grillz mixtape series.

Life

Tyree Simmons grew up in Philadelphia. Later he moved to Atlanta and graduated from Clark Atlanta University. During this time he came for the first time in contact with the DJ - ing. After local success with his first works he came in contact with Lil Jon and was taken to a collaboration with P $ C on TI's label Grand Hustle under contract. During this time he also published his first Gangsta Grillz mixtapes, which had great success in the Down South scene, followed more mixtapes, including with Plies, Ludacris, TI, Snoop Dogg and Akon, and Dedication 2 (with Lil Wayne ), which was awarded by the New York Times as one of the best plates 10, 2006. On 4 December 2007, his first album Gangsta Grillz was: The Album published. His second album Gangsta Grillz: The Album II has been announced for May 2009.
