DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince

DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince was a hip- hop band from Philadelphia. The group consisted of the actor and rapper Will Smith and DJ and music producer Jeff Townes.

History

Smith learned Townes at the age of 16 years know at a party. Together they later took songs that Smith presented various record companies, on. In 1987, their first single, Girls Is not Nothing But Trouble on the label Word Up Records. Because of small successes, the label Jive Records became aware of the two. Word Up Records then licensed the rights to Jive.
