DJ Mehdi

DJ Mehdi ( born January 20, 1977 in Gennevilliers, Hauts -de -Seine, † 13 September 2011 in Paris, real name Mehdi Favéris - Essadi ) was a French hip-hop and house producer with Tunisian roots.

He was initially the band's DJ Different Teep, and later of Ideal J and was a member of the group Mafia K'1 Fry. Then he produced as a solo artist for the label Ed Banger Records, with whom he was under contract.

Life

Mehdi was born in a suburb in the north- west of Paris. He was initially the band's DJ Different Teep, and later of Ideal J and thus gained experience in the music scene. Later he took over the production work for the group 113, Different Teep and Karlito. So he became one of the most famous hip- hop producers in the French underground. Through the creative exchange with sizes of electronic music, among other collaborations with Daft Punk, Cassius, MC Solaar, Futura 2000, Asian Dub Foundation and Chromeo came about.

After he had signed his contract with Ed Banger Records, Mehdi has worked with Busy P at the junction of techno and hip- hop elements. With great success, the two put together once a month at the Paris nightspot Pulp.

His first LP was released in 2002 called The Story of Espion. The second album Lucky Boy came in August 2006 on the market. The single I am Somebody was 2007 uses for a commercial American radio station XM Satellite Radio.

Together with musician Riton (Henry Smithson ), he started in 2010, a music project, the French electro duo called "Carte Blanche ".

Mehdi died on 13 September 2011, the consequences of a fall after he celebrated with friends on the roof of his house and this collapsed.
