Djalu Gurruwiwi

Djalu Gurruwiwi; born on Wirriku Iceland, one of the smaller of the Wessel Islands, Northern Territory, Australia, in the early 1940s ( before the Second World War), is a clan elder of the Galpu clan from the ethnic group of the Yolngu. He is internationally renowned didgeridoo maker and has started since the turn of the millennium to perform with members of his family and his clan as a cultural ambassador of his people.
