DK Jungle Climber

Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber (Japaneseドンキー コング ジャングル クライマ, in the U.S. as DK: Jungle Climber published ) is a 2D platform game for the Nintendo DS. Nintendo released it in 2007 as a successor to the GBA game Donkey Kong: King of Swing. The game reached a number of units sold of 520,000 units.

Action

King K. Rool and his Kremling gang steal the aliens Xananab valuable crystal bananas to use their magic to be able to gain power over the universe. Donkey Dong and his friends help Xananab doing, K. Rool to stop and retrieve the crystal bananas.

Gameplay

As in the previous Donkey Kong is the protagonist of the game dar. In some levels he is assisted by his friend Diddy Kong. The player controls Donkey Kong mainly with the L and R buttons. The game consists of several game worlds, which are composed of individual levels. In each level a variety of things, such as banana coins, DK coins or oil drums must be found. Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber also features a multiplayer mode for up to four players.

Development

Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber was developed by Japanese video game entrepreneur Paon and distributed by Nintendo. Paon was also responsible for the development of the GBA game Donkey Kong: King of Swing responsible and Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jet Race offshoot. As Directors of DK: Jungle Climber Atsushi Kaneko and Masataka Sato were used. As a Sound Supervisor Nintendo composer Koji Kondo worked, Executive Producer of the game was today, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata.
