Dlhé nad Cirochou

Dlhé nad Cirochou (up to 1927 " Cirocké Dlhé "; Hungarian Cirókahosszúmező - Cirokahosszúmező to 1882 ), with about 2100 inhabitants, is the fourth largest municipality in the Okres Snina in eastern Slovakia.

The village road between the towns of Humenné Snina and is located in the intensively farmed Cirocha Valley. The valley to the north is framed by the foothills of the mountain Laboretzer country ( Laborecká Highlands ) with altitudes above 500 m ( Patria, 532 m asl) and in the south by Vihorlatgebirge ( Vihorlatské Hills ) with the nearby " mountain" Trislák (772 m ).

The Highway 74 Humenné the Ukrainian border (transition Ubľa ) performs Dlhé, as well as the parallel railway line Humenné - Snina - Stakčín. Due to the convenient transport to commute many community residents in the nearby industrial city Humenné.

The place was first mentioned in writing in 1342.

In Dlhé live almost exclusively Slovaks. 97 % of the population profess the Roman Catholic Church.
