DÅ‚uga, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Długa ( German Langendorf ) is a place in the Polish Warmian -Masurian and belongs to the urban and rural community Sepopol ( Schippenbeil ) in Bartoszycki powiat ( county Bartenstein ).

Geographical location

Długa is north of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, west of All (Polish Łyna ), 13 kilometers northeast of the county town Bartoszyce ( Bartenstein ). Through the town a side street off Sepopol ( Schippenbeil ) to Stopki ( Stolzenfeld ) and continue to Ostre Bardo ( Klingenberg ) runs leads. A rail connection does not exist.

History

The named to 1945 Langendorf place was on June 11, 1874 was eponymous for a newly constructed office district, which existed until 1945 and the district Friedland, from 1927 to the district Bartenstein ( Ostpr. ) in the district of Königsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia. In 1883, the Gutsbezirk 1875 formed from the township was Schippenbeil Schippenbeilshof (1938-1945: Rohden, Polish: Sępopolski Dwór ) incorporated in the District Langendorf. 1910 were registered here a total of 554 inhabitants. Their number increased to 1933 to 597 in 1939 and was already 620 after the September 30, 1928 there was the Gutsbezirk Schippenbeilshof for rural community Langendorf.

In consequence of the Second World War Langendorf came to Poland in 1945 and received the Polish name " Długa ". Today the village is a village within the Gmina Sepopol ( Schippenbeil ) in Bartoszycki powiat ( county Bartenstein ) in the Warmia and Mazury ( Olsztyn Voivodeship 1975-1998 ).

District Langendorf (1874-1945)

With its establishment in 1874 only included two rural communities to the district of Langendorf, which until 1930 on four extended, but then again " shrunk " to two:

Church

Before 1945, almost without exception, Protestant population lived in Langendorf. The village belonged to the parish of St. Michael's Church Schippenbeil ( Sepopol ) in the parish of Bartenstein ( until 1927 the church district Friedland ) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Church of the Old Prussian Union.

Today, the population of Długas is largely Catholic denomination. For them, now a Catholic St. Michael's Church is in Sepopol the competent parish church, which now belongs to the Dean's Office in the Archdiocese of Warmia Sepopol of the Catholic Church in Poland. In Długa living evangelical church members now belong to the Church community in Bartoszyce ( Bartenstein ), a branch church of the parish in Ketrzyn ( Rastenburg ) in the Diocese of the Evangelical - Augsburg Church Mazury in Poland.
