Dłużec, Mrągowo County

Dluzec ( German Langendorf ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Piecki ( whip village) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg ).

Geographical location

Dluzec located in the southeast of the Warmian -Masurian on the eastern shore of the Jezioro Dluzec ( Langendorfer See) twelve kilometers south of the city Mrągowo (Sensburg ). Through the village passes a secondary road that Borowe ( Borowen, 1938-1945 Prausken ) on the province road 600 and Nawiady ( Arweyden ) along Route 59 and 601 province road together. A rail connection does not exist.

History

In 1874 the place in the then newly established office district Gollingen (now Polish: Golen ) incorporated and belonged until 1945 to the district Sensburg in the district of Olsztyn (now Polish: Olsztyn, until 1905 Government District Gumbinnen, today Russian: Gusev ) in the Prussian province East Prussia. In 1910 the number was 586 inhabitants in 1933, it amounted even to 568 and 1939 to 565

In consequence of the Second World War Langendorf came to Poland and received the Polish name " Dluzec ". In 1975, the town is part of the Olsztyn ( Olsztyn ) Province, with their resolution Dluzec was part of the Warmia - Mazury. Today the village is a village and mayor's office (Polish: sołectwo ) in the Gmina Piecki ( whip village) in the powiat Mrągowski.

Church

By 1945 Langendorf was with his predominantly Protestant population in the parish Arweyden (now Polish: Nawiady ) eingepfarrt. It belonged to the church Sensburg ( Mrągowo ) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Church of the Old Prussian Union. In the 1930s, a church building in Langendorf was planned, but could not be realized.

Today the population of Dluzec majority of Catholic denomination is. The former evangelical church in Nawiady ( Arweyden ) is now Catholic parish church. It belongs to the Dean's Office in the Archdiocese of Warmia Mrągowo I of the Catholic Church in Poland. Here surviving Protestant church members belong to the newly formed church in Nawiady, which is now to Mrągowo Branch community in the Diocese of the Evangelical - Augsburg Church Mazury in Poland.
