Dmitry Chepovetsky

Dmitry Chepovetsky (born in 1970 in Lvov, Ukraine) is a Canadian actor and author.

Life and achievements

Chepovetsky was born in Lviv in western Ukraine, but left at the age of six years with his family to his home country after the exit permit his Jewish family had been granted. The exit goal at the time was Israel, but they decided otherwise and moved to Canada, where Dmitry later grew up in Regina.

His acting training, he graduated from the prestigious theater program at Ryerson University, and as a member of The Second City troupe in Toronto. About stage engagements in Vancouver, Calgary, Manitoba, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax, he debuted in the mid 1990s as a guest performer in a number of Canadian television series and appeared eg in X-Files and The Sentinel. Other film and television productions followed, as in the science fiction film Mission to Mars (2000) and a guest role in the sci-fi series Stargate - Kommando SG -1. He was nominated as best supporting actor in the television series ReGenesis for the Gemini Award in 2005.

His most famous film role was that of Stephen in the action thriller Driven to Kill on the side of Steven Seagal.

In addition to working as an actor, the artist also writes stage plays. So already two of his plays were performed.
