Dobrá Voda (Pelhřimov District)

Dobra Voda ( German Gutwasser ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers southeast of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Dobra Voda is located on the left side of the creek Podlesnik on the saddle of Čihalka ( 673 m) in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. Northeast rises in Prachatický les of Švejbory (666 m) and to the east of the Blažkův vrch (717 m). Dobra Voda is situated on the railway from Pelhřimov to Jindřichův Hradec, in the village there is a train station.

Neighboring towns are Domeček and Radňov in the north, and Letny Lesov in the northeast, Chrastov in the east, Nová Buková the southeast, Rohovka in the south, Benátky the southwest, Houserovka in the west and Rovná and Zajíčkov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village dates from the year 1414. Between 1572 and 1850, there belonged to the rule Pelhřimov. Then Dobra Voda formed a community to which belonged the district Rohovka.

1980, the annexation to Pelhřimov, since 1992 Dobra Voda is again an independent municipality.

The community Dobra Voda consists of the districts Dobra Voda ( Gutwasser ) Letny ( Letna ) and Rohovka ( Rohowka ).
