Dobrá Voda (Žďár nad Sázavou District)

Dobra Voda ( German Gutwasser ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers northeast of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Dobra Voda is located in the belonging to the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands Highlands Křižanovská ( Krischanauer Bergland ). North of the village rises the Seben ( shives, 626 m) in the forest of the same Seben ( Schebenwald ). In the forest area stems from the Mastník, northeast of the village lies the source of Libochovka. To the northwest lies the Špimberk ( 589 m). East leads the railway line from Brno and Velké Meziříčí over after Zdar nad Sázavou.

Neighboring towns are Radenice in the north, Jívoví in the northeast, Křižanov and Kozlov in the southeast, Marti Nice and Nové Dvory the southwest, Vídeň in the west and Cyrilov in the northwest. To the north lies the deserted village Urbanice.

History

The village was established in the first half of the 13th century during the colonization of the forests in the Bohemian- Moravian borderland under Přibyslav of Křižanov. Was first documented Dobra Voda 1252 as part of the foundation of the Cistercian monastery Marie Born in Saar Boček of Jaroslavice and Zbraslav and his wife Euphemia.
