Dobrzeń Mały

Small Döbern, Polish Dobrzeń Maly, is a town in Upper Silesia. Small Döbern located in the municipality in the United Döbern powiat Opolski in Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Small Döbern located two kilometers southeast of the municipal center Great Döbern and eleven kilometers northwest of the county town of Opole and voivodship.

Neighboring towns of small Döbern are in the northwest United Döbern ( Dobrzeń Wielki ), in the northeast Finkenstein ( Brzezie ), in the southeast Borrek ( Borki ) and in the south Żelazna ( Zelasno ).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1228. In 1865 the town had 10 farmers, six half farmer, gardener, six arable Häusler, 21 Anger Häusler and 44 granny. The competent for small Döbern school was located in the United Döbern.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 321 voters voted to remain in Germany and 188 for Poland. Small Döbern remained with the German Reich. 1925 lived 818 inhabitants in the village. On April 1, 1938 Small Döbern was incorporated by Döbern ( Upper Silesia ). By 1945, the place was in the district of Opole.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and the Silesian Voivodeship was connected and renamed June 28, 1948 in Dobrzeń Maly. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Opolski. On April 22, 2009, in the village of Great Döbern who belongs to small Döbern, introduced German as a second official language on 1 December 2009 was the place in addition to the official German names Small Döbern.
