Dolgy Island

Dolgi (Russian Остров Долгий, Ostrow Dolgij, German "Long Island" ) is a long, narrow island off the north coast of Russia in the Pechora, the southeastern area of ​​the Barents Sea. Administratively, the island is part of the Nenets Autonomous District of the Arkhangelsk Oblast.

Geography

Dolgi 38 km long but only up to 4 km wide. The southern tip of the island is 12 km off the north coast of the West Siberian Lowland. The landscape of the island is characterized by relatively flat, interspersed with many small lakes and ponds tundra.
