Doll, Highland

Doll is a small scattered settlement in the Scottish Highland Unitary Authority. It is located about two kilometers southwest of Brora and about six kilometers northeast of Golspie on the north coast of the Moray Firth in the traditional county of Sutherland. In the West Doll is partially limited by the banks of the River Brora. In 1971 Doll recorded 110 inhabitants, which represents an increase of 35 people since 1961.

With the A9 trunk road, the most important of the Scottish Highlands runs directly through Doll. Although the tracks of the Far North Line run on its route from Inverness to Thurso and Wick by Doll, the settlement does not have its own railway station. The nearest train stations are in Brora and at four kilometers south-west to Dunrobin Castle.
