Domain Name Registrar

A domain name registrar is an organization or a company that performs registration of Internet domains.

The registrar is to buy the top -level domain on the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN ) or Domain Name Registry accredited. It thus acts as an intermediary of the services of a registry and acts as the sole contractor for final customers, in particular accepts the settlement of costs for a domain. Occasionally operates a registry itself also a registrar, usually in the form of a subsidiary such as SWITCH or CORE. Most of these are at a registrar but to an Internet service provider that also sells other services such as web hosting bundled with domains.
