Dominican Republic women's national volleyball team

The Dominican national volleyball team of women is a selection of the best Dominican players, the Federación Dominicana de Voleibol represented in international tournaments and international matches.

History

World Championships

The Dominican Republic took in 1974 in Mexico for the first time at a World Volleyball Championships in part, finishing in 21st place. Four years later, it improved by two places. In 1998 there were eleven rank the best result. At the tournament in 2002, the Dominican women were Thirteenth and 2006 in Japan, it was enough only for 18th place.

Olympic games

Athens 2004 the Dominicans were for the first time in the Olympic tournament there and reached the eleventh place. For Beijing 2008, the Dominican Republic failed to qualify. In London 2012, she will compete in the Olympics as a North American representative again.

NORCECA Championships

The Dominican Republic 1973-1985 five fifth in the NORCECA Championship. 1977 in their own country occupied the Dominican fourth place in 1983 and they were sixth. World Cup

World Grand Prix
