Dominik Roels

Dominik Roels ( born January 21, 1987 in Cologne ) is a retired German racing cyclist.

Dominik Roels 2005 German Junior Champion in the road race and fifth in the Junior World Championships in the time trial. In 2006 he was promoted to the U23 class and went for the youth team of Wiesenhof Akud. Again he won the road race in the German road Radmeisterschaft for themselves. In the overall standings of the International German Championship, he finished third behind winner Tony Martin. At the end of the season he rode as a stagiaire at the professional team of Wiesenhof Akud. In the 2007 season he drove for the team Akud rose. At the German road championship in 2007 in Wiesbaden, he was fourth. 2009 and 2010 he competed in the Vuelta a España; In 2010 he went also the Giro d'Italia.

Since 2008, Roels drove UCI ProTeam for the Milram. With the dissolution of the team after the 2010 season, he finished his career and went on a world tour, during which he also denied cycling race. In autumn 2011 he began to study medicine at Cologne.
