Don Hoefler
Donald C. Hoefler ( born October 3, 1922 in Michigan, † April 15, 1986 in San Francisco) was an American journalist who coined the term "Silicon Valley" and thus became known. He wrote in 1971 in the journal Electronic News a series of articles entitled Silicon Valley, USA, in which he described the rapid growth of high-tech companies in the former agricultural region of Santa Clara.
