Donald Lambert

Donald Lambert, called Don Lambert, ( born February 12, 1904 in Princeton, New Jersey; † May 8, 1962 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American jazz pianist of the stride piano style.

Lambert was left-handed and learned to play the piano by his mother, but he could never play for notes. He was in the night club scene, Harlem in the 1920s known feared for the handle speed of his left hand and "cutting contests " - the piano workshop of the Newport Jazz Festival 1960 he is beaten Eubie Blake and Willie "The Lion" Smith and even type Tatum have demanded.
