Donald Tolmie

Donald Ross Tolmie ( born November 11, 1923 in Lindsay, Ontario, † March 18, 2009 in Pelham, Ontario) was a Canadian politician ( Liberal Party ).

Life and career

Tolmie served in World War II Avro Lancaster as navigator. He later became a lawyer in Welland, Ontario, where he was an alderman from 1957 to 1964. Then he entered federal politics one with the Langerringen a seat for the District of Welland. He was re-elected in 1968. After the end of the legislature, he left active politics.

From October 1971 to September 1972 was Tolmie Parliamentary Secretary by Ron Basford, the then Minister of Consumer and Corporate Affairs.

After a not publicly become known disease Tolmie died at his home in Pelham, Ontario on March 18, 2009.
