Donald Whiston

Donald Francis Whiston ( born June 19, 1927 in Lynn, Massachusetts ) is a retired American professional ice hockey goaltender and coach.

Career

Donald Whiston first attended the prestigious elite school Phillips Exeter Academy, before he studied at Brown University. With a Gegentorschnitt of 1.6 per game he was the best goalkeeper in the history of Brown University and was able to recommend for the Winter Games in 1952. He then worked as a businessman. In the early 1960s he was engaged for three seasons, head coach of the hockey team at Brown University.

Internationally

For the U.S., Whiston participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1952 in part in Oslo, where he won the silver medal with his team.
