The Donegal Bay ( Irish: Bá Dhun na nGall ) is a bay in the north- west of Ireland. Three counties bordering the Bay: Donegal in the North, Leitrim and Sligo to the south. To the west of the bay opens out to the Atlantic Ocean. The town of Donegal and the River Eske lie at the head of the bay.

The Donegal Bay is Ireland's largest bay. Due to it's with Slieve League ( 601 m), the highest cliff of Ulster ( the sixth highest in Europe ).

The bay offers excellent surfing area, which is gaining its conditions from a combination of its shape and the prevailing winds here. Rossnowlagh and Bundoran are the most important places for surfers.
