Donnacona, Quebec

Donnacona is a city ( ville) in the MRC Portneuf the Canadian province of Quebec.

Donnacona located 45 km west of the provincial capital of Quebec City on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River and on the eastern shore of the Rivière Jacques- Cartier. The latter has his mouth here. Donnacona counted in 2006 a total of 5564 inhabitants and has an area of ​​20.02 km ².

History

Donnacona was founded in 1672 by Toussaint Toupin. Donnacona 1920 and received its charter.

Traffic
