Donsö

Donsö is an island and a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Västergötland.

It is located in Gothenburg's southern archipelago, in the municipality of Gothenburg and is connected by a bridge to the island Styrsö. In addition there are ferry connections to Saltholmen.

Not less than 14 shipping companies have their headquarters here, what per head of population should be the highest shipping density in the world. Around 20 % of Sweden's tanker fleet include the shipping companies of Donsö.
