Dorcus Inzikuru

Dorcus Inzikuru ( born February 2, 1982 in Verra Ezuku, Uganda ) is a Ugandan athlete.

Inzikuru won the gold medal in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the IAAF World Championships in 2005 and thus became the first world champion in this discipline ( 9:18,24 min). She is also the first Ugandan woman who won a medal in international competitions. In the Summer Olympics 2012, she was a member of the Ugandan contingent. There, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, she took in her forward to seventh place with a time of 9:35,29 min, so missed the finals, finishing in the final standings to 20th place among 44 is beaten runners.

Dorcus Inzikuru is married to Martin Bosco Acidri and has a daughter named Emmanuella. The first name of the athlete is " Dorcus ". But because the name is misspelled in her passport, it is usually listed in the results of international competitions as " Docus ". She has a competition weight of 51 kg at a height of 1.56 m.
