Dorénaz

Dorénaz is a municipality in the district of Saint- Maurice in the French speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland.

Geography

Dorénaz is located on the eastern shore of here northward flowing Rhone north of Martigny and south-southeast of Saint- Maurice. To the municipality together with the village Dorénaz includes the hamlet Alesse and Champex. The latter is of Dorénza by a cableway accessible. The neighboring communities of Dorénaz are in the north Collonges, in the east Fully, Martigny in the south, west and north- north-west VERNAYAZ Evionnaz.

Attractions

In Dorénaz since 2000, there is a fairy tale museum, called the house of fairy tales and legends ( Maison des contes et légendes ).
